The Pool at Shepherd's Vineyard is home to the amazing Killer Whales! The swim team is a great opportunity for swimmers up to 18 years of age to strengthen their swimming skills, compete against other swimmers, and socialize with friends!
The Killer Whales are a part of the Tarheel Swimming Association. The TSA was created in 1971 to “promote and encourage competitive and recreational summer swimming for Wake County youth.” Today it consists of over 90 swim clubs in the greater Wake County area. Clubs are placed in either the north or south division based upon geographic location within Wake County. The leagues and scheduling committee strives to group teams into further subdivisions with other teams of equal strength by using dual meet data from the previous season. Three meets will be within in our assigned division and the other three meets will be out of our division, adding some interesting competition. Swim meets follow TSA rules for swimming meet management, competition and judging.
