Swimmer Code of Conduct:

We are looking forward to another summer of fun and many happy memories for our Shepherd Vineyard Killer Whales (SVKW). The goals of SVKW include helping young people establish a love for the sport of swimming, while developing teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship. All participants including swimmers, coaches, officials, board members, parents and spectators are expected to exhibit the highest standards of sportsmanship and respect at all times while participating in all SVKW events.

As a SVKW swimmer, you agree to follow the rules for behavior and sportsmanship:

• Show respect and be polite to EVERYONE including coaches, volunteers, opponents and teammates.
• Respect the property of SV Pool and the surrounding HOA property.
• Listen to coaches and follow their direction.
• Arrive on time to practice.
• Practice good sportsmanship and encourage teammates.
• Follow all SV pool rules.
• Represent the team in a positive and respectful manner.

Meet Etiquette:

• Declare meet participation on time
• Show up to the meets on time for warmups.
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship. Win gracefully. Lose graciously. Congratulate and encourage our opponents.
• Be prepared for your races and arrive to clerk of course on time
• Respect property and facilities of Home Team
