Margaret Geiger grew up in the Raleigh area swimming for New Wave and MOR. This will be her 12th year of coaching. Coach Margaret has been fortunate to have the opportunity to coach for many wonderful teams in North and South Carolina, and to work with kids ranging from the preschool to High School level. She is currently the head coach for the Shepherds Vineyard swim team in Apex; and has been a coach for Saint Mary’s School swim team, a private high school for girls in Raleigh for 6 years. She has also coached Triangle Fitness at SMS in the Fall and Spring seasons, and served as an assistant swim coach for the Marlins of Raleigh for 4 years.
Margaret first developed a love for the sport when she started swimming Summer league at age 4. She swam year-round competitively through high school and still enjoys swimming today. Her specialty/favorite stroke was and always will be breaststroke. She enjoys working with swimmers of all ages developing skills, and spreading interest for swimming. Margaret looks forward to another Summer with the Killer Whales helping every athlete work toward achieving their individual goals!
Emmarose has been a part of the Shepherds Vineyard Swim Team for the past 16 years. This year will mark her second full year of coaching, but third on the coaching staff. Shepherds Vineyard was where she began her swimming career, and she continues to attend and swim collegiately for Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Specializing in Backstroke and Freestyle does not prevent her from having great experience and expertise in all the 4 strokes. She cannot wait and is looking forward to a very fun and safe season after such a crazy year!
Sam Armbruster has swam for the Shepherds Vineyard Swim Team for 13 years and was a lifeguard at the pool for 5 years. He swam competitively for MOR for ten years and for the Apex High Swim Team. Sam is a rising junior at UNCW where he is studying exercise science. He is excited to begin his first year coaching and happy to be part of the team!
My name is Meg Giuliano and I have been a part of Shepherd’s Vineyard since I was 8 years old. I’ve been helping the coaches since I was 13 and this will be my second year as part of the coaching staff. I also currently coach for the TAC Titans swim team in Cary. I love working with kids and helping them get better at swimming and having fun doing it. I’m looking forward to another great year with SVKW!
Caleb Davis is a graduate from Apex Friendship High School and will be studying engineering at Clemson University in the fall. He joined Shepard's Vineyard when he was eleven and has been swimming ever since. During his sophomore year in high school, he joined the year-round team, New Wave, and since then has competed at both the Senior Championships and Senior Sectionals meets. Although this is his first year as a coach, Caleb has been helping around for many years prior and was a volunteer coach during the last Shepard's Vineyard swim season. He is excited to have the opportunity to coach the Killer Whales and help the swimmers grow and improve throughout the season.
