Hello SVKW Families,

We still have vacant positions for the 2022 season. We need to fill these positions soon so that everyone is in place when we start planning in early March.

The positions are Co-Chair, Spirit Wear/Merchandise, TSA Co-Representative, and Sponsorship. All positions exempt you from volunteer sign-up roles during the meet. If you are interested, please let me know and we can discuss more before you decide. Keep in mind we hope 2022 will look “normal” and will have 3 home meets and 3 away meets.

Co-Chair- Lesley Kohler will again be our fabulous Chair for the team, but historically this role has been held by 2 people to distribute duties. As we return to “normal” we need a second person to help with the behind-the-scenes responsibilities. Please reach out for more information about this position, it would be a great help to our team.

TSA Rep- We have one TSA Representative committed for 2022 but this position is typically covered by two people to cover all 6 meets. You must be very familiar with TSA rules and regulations (all the information is online, and you’ll learn as you attend meetings). Attend TSA meetings (5 meetings beginning January) and report any changes to the SVKW board and coaches. For all meets, you are the liaison between Coaches and Away Team.

Merchandise/Spirit Wear- You will work alongside MaryAnne to shadow and learn this year. She will teach you the job and you will take over 2023. You will work with current vendors to purchase our spirit wear items and make sure inventory is on hand to sell before the season and for home meets.

Sponsorship- work with the pool board to gather sponsors for our swim season. The bulk of this needs to occur soon so we can get sponsor logos on swim team t-shirts. During the swim season you will be responsible for making sure any contractual obligations are met. For example, you’ll make sure handouts arrive at the pool for home meets, banners are visible, and logos are on the website.
