Hello Killer Whales,

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” This past week we definitely ate our fair share of bubbles. Despite your gallant efforts, the final score was SV Killer Whales 133.5, Prestonwood Piranas 380.5. Ouch. But we loved seeing you swim your best, the fist bumps, high-fives, and watching you cheer on your teammates during the night.

Moving on to the best of last night. The below records show that you gave 100% to this meet and we're so proud of you!

Congrats to our Swimmers of the Week, Mia Allen (14) & T.J. Keller (5)

You've earned a red swim cap! Click here for past winners and SOTW Criteria.

Congrats to our Triple Winner (7/up)

Izzie Kohler (12) - 50yd Freestyle, 50yd Breaststroke, 50yd Butterfly

Swimmers with the Biggest Personal Time Drops:

We had 220 swimmers beat their personal best last night in at least one event. That’s something to celebrate!

Each week we'll shine our spotlight on a swimmer from each age group / per stroke that had the biggest time drop. Additionally, each week we will be awarding a free ice cream voucher from FRESH Local Ice Cream to the MOST IMPROVED swimmer in each of the six age groups (highlighted in red below). Prizes will be placed in your family folder at SV.

Congratulations swimmers!

Shout Out to Our Volunteers!

Volunteer Highlight: Jenna Armstrong is our TSA Representative at our meets. The TSA League likes to ensure all communication between teams goes through the team TSA representatives. At meets, you’ll see her walking around with the SVKW TSA REP bib so she’s easily spotted. Suppose you have concerns about the TSA rules, questions about logistics for away meets, encounter poor sportsmanship like conduct, concerns about how the away team is running the meet or scoring, or any other issues that arise, in that case, she’s your first point of contact. THANK YOU Jenna!!!

Cary City Meet, 7/16

Save the Date and keep an eye out for more information on our League-wide extra special meet on Saturday, July 16.  We'll need your help picking a theme for our tent!

Picking up Award Ribbons after Meets

Don’t forget to frequently check your family folder whenever you’re at the pool to pick up your award ribbons and prizes for Personal Best (for ages 12 and under) and Meet Placement (all ages).  If you think you’re missing a personal best ribbon, or have other questions, please contact Meredith Nance ([email protected]).
