It's time to celebrate your achievements! 

Join us Tuesday, July 26, 6pm - 9pm for the 

SV Killer Whale End of Season Awards Ceremony.  

Rain Date is: Wed, July 27, 2022 6pm - 9pm

Our Awards night celebration will start with a splash and end with memories. The SV pool gates open at 6 pm for family free swim and pool games and we’ll be closing out the ceremony at the end with our annual slideshow.

Can’t make it? Please RSVP YES or NO  (Click Here): on our sign-up form so we know how many people to set up for! Even if you can’t come, please let us know on the form.

Event Schedule:

• 6:00 pm - The Pool Opens and Ty’s All Natural Food truck will be available for orders (the menu is attached to this email).
  
• At 7:10 pm - We’ll draw our raffle. You can still purchase tickets when you arrive at the pool between 6 pm - 6:30 pm.

• 7:15 pm - the pool closes for everyone to get settled in for the awards  (please keep your kids out of the pool after this), if there’s time we’ll open the pool again after the ceremony.

• At 9:30 pm the pool closes for clean-up. Please make sure to clean up all trash and items from your family. Any available hands are welcome to stay and help clean up.

What’s for Dinner?

• Ty’s All Natural Food Truck: I’ve been told people are already dreaming about the fries! The menu is attached at the end of this email and they will be open for service by 6 pm.
• The SV Snack bar will also be open from 6 pm - 7:20 pm

What Should You Bring?

• Your SVKW Medal (new swimmers will receive it at the awards night): If you swam in 2019 or 2021, you should already have an SVKW team medal. Please look out for it now and bring it so you can attach your 2022 pins. team medal during the awards ceremony.
• All the usual things for a swim meet (dinner, snacks, drinks, chairs, towels, goggles)
• We are also encouraging pop-up tents for shelter in case of unpredictable rain showers like last year.

Spirit Wear: 

If you missed the deal at the last meet, you’ll be able to still purchase discounted spirit wear at the Awards Ceremony. Last chance to get a cozy sweatshirt for the fall!

Volunteers Schedule and Information for Tuesday, 7/26

• Assemble Balloon Arch: 8:30am-10:30am at SV Pool (new date/time).
• General Decorating set-up starts at 4:30 pm
• Stage tents/chairs/general Pool Deck Set-up starts at 5 pm
• Cupcake donations: drop off at the front table as you arrive (please bring in disposable containers if possible).

Meet at the snack bar for the shift you signed up for to get instructions. If you have questions, please email [email protected].

Volunteer Needs:

Clean-up: we still need some volunteers to help pack up decorations, take down tents, and re-set the pool deck (any hands are welcome after the ceremony ends)!

On the sign-up form, once you have RSVP’d you’ll be able to select a volunteer spot via the drop-down list on the next page.

Things to Note

Just like at a meet, you can help the flow of the night to keep moving steadily along by prepping your kids for what to expect and where to go.

Help the flow of events by keeping your kids sitting with you. Please have your kids sit with your family group during the formal ceremony until they are called up to the stage. This way they are ready to go when called and also keep the stage traffic area clear. If kids are crowding the stage area we will be asking them to head back to their family groups.

Swimmers Entering/Exiting the stage: We will be acknowledging swimmers and awarding pins and special awards by age group. The coaches will call the kids up and they should quickly move to the stage area. When they are called up, they form a line across the front facing the pool and they should stay up there until all awards are distributed and they are dismissed by the Coaches.

Once dismissed from the stage, they can pick up a cupcake on their way back to their seats.

The cupcake table will be open to everyone AFTER the ceremony. However, if that causes issues with any younger siblings, you’re welcome to come pick-up a cupcake for them after your swimmer’s group is dismissed from the stage.

Programs: We'll send out the Award Ceremony Program via SwimTopia Tuesday morning (just like the heat sheets). You can view it on your phone or print one to bring with you.
