The Parent-Coach Liaison is a new role for our swim team this year. We wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of their role.

We understand that things don’t always go to plan, or that parents might have questions about what happens at swim practice/meets. 

It is important not to interrupt coaches during practice or swim meets with feedback. For swimmer safety and continuity the coaches need to be focused on the practice or meet at hand.

We are very lucky to have two Board members who are experienced swimmers with coaching backgrounds. They are making themselves available to our swim parents to help figure out any issues that arise.

Unless there is imminent concern for a swimmer’s safety, parents should bring feedback, questions or concerns about what is happening at practice or meets to Jenna or Gina at their earliest convenience.

The Parent-Coach Liaison will work with all parties to help find an amenable solution.
