Happy Weekend Killer Whales!
This is your weekly reminder to declare your swimmer before Sunday, Noon. Once you arrive at the meet, check the paper poster-boards for the latest information (not just the app).
Don't forget to change the relay to make sure you can swim what you declare
The weather is looking better than last week but you might want to plan to bring your tents and extra towels again just in case a rain shower pops up.
We look forward to another exciting Meet as our Killer Whales defend their Pod against the Silverton Sharks!
Go Killer Whales!
SVKW Board
Emergencies after the Swimmer Declaration deadline and At the Meet:
Please contact the specific person below so our heat sheets stay accurate. Each board member and coach handles many things at a meet and it can be hard to pass along information to each other. We know all these moving parts can can make it confusing to know who to talk to as well. Contact the people below directly if you (or your swimmer) need to change their declarations or volunteer role due to sickness or other emergencies that arise after Sunday noon.
- Pre-meet: if an emergency arises and a swimmer will be missing all or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by e-mailing them at: [email protected].
If you are also volunteering, copy Anne as well at the same time at: [email protected].
- At the meet: if something arises at the meet and your swimmer need to suddenly leave: It is crucial that the parent goes to the coaches to let them know that their child is leaving. Please do not leave without telling the coaches that your child will not be swimming any more events - especially in the case of relays. We had several very disappointed kids last meet because several teammates were not around and they had to miss swimming relays.
If you're volunteering: talk to Anne as well as the Coaches before leaving.
Romeo's Pizza Pre-Orders
Romeo's Pizza will be serving us again this meet. It is highly recommended you pre-order and pre-pay by Monday night to help delivery and pick-up go faster. If that's not possible, they will be selling $6 cheese or pepperoni pizza at the Meet, but bring exact cash.
Relay No-Shows - Updated Parents Code of Conduct
Please read our updated code of conduct regarding missing relays.

6/27 Meet Against Silverton Sharks Info
Check Heat Sheets:
When you arrive at the meet, double-check the physical poster-board heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app) and if you see an event you will be absent for, please let the coaches know asap so we have time to find a replacement (especially important for relays).
TSA Rep reminder: Make sure to find your SVKW TSA Rep if you have any concerns or issues that arise with the other team's coaches, parents, or swimmers during our meet.
Parking at Home Meets:
We reserve our parking lot for the visiting team.
When you park along the street, please do not block any resident's driveways or fire hydrants. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.
Seating: Seating is available around the pool deck and outside of the fence (visiting team usually sets up to the left of the pool house, near the swing/grill area).
Swimmers, bring games and activities to do with your teammates under the SVKW white tents!
Parents: Make sure your swimmers are ready to go when they announce their event. It’s not the kid pushers' job to come to find your child for their event.
Concessions: SVKW Snack bar + Romeos (see note above)
Spirit Wear Table: available at this meet
Mixed Desserts is unable to stay open as late as our meets go for future home meets. But you can still show them some love by popping over after practices or anytime you're in the area and in the mood for some sweet treats. They'd love to see you!
Tidal Wave Car Wash Vouchers
Sales of Tidal Wave car wash vouchers have been hot hot hot this first week! We hope to still have a few left to sell at the meet (at the Spirit Wear Table) but we have almost sold out. We have ordered a 2nd batch of vouchers and will let you know when they are available for sale.
Ice Cream Social: Re-scheduled for Thursday, June 29
Thanks for your understanding on our postponed Ice Cream Social. Update your RSVP to reflect your swimmer's participation (the original one is still live on the new date). We’re looking forward to seeing everyone.
