Hello Killer Whales!

This is your weekly email reminder to declare your swimmer before Sunday, Noon and make sure you say whether you are available or not for relays (change the default if not).

This week is a Home Meet.  Practice your strokes and kicks and bring your team spirit a-game as we swim against the Medfield Sharks.  Don't forget to bring your megaphones and cheer on your teammates in all the heats along with the main events.

Reminder: Emergencies after the Swimmer Declaration deadline

Thanks for keeping on top of this! Reminders: 

• Pre-meet: if an emergency arises and a child will be missing all or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by e-mailing them at: [email protected].
• At the meet if something arises at the meet and you need to suddenly leave: It is crucial that the parent goes to the coaches to let them know that their child is leaving.

Please do not leave without telling the coaches your child will not be swimming any more events - especially in the case of relays.

TSA Rep reminder: 

Make sure to find your SVKW TSA Rep if you have any concerns or issues that arise with the other teams coaches, parents, or swimmers during our meet.

Pre-Meet Warm Up + Volunteer Schedule

Our SVKW Warm up times for home meets start at 4:55pm. Arriving earlier than this to get set up and ready to go on time is strongly advised. Here's the timeline for when you need to be where!

• Volunteers, check-in as you arrive, by 5:30pm.
• 4:55 pm: 10&Under warm-up
• 5:10pm: 10&Up Warm Up
• 5:45pm: Meeting for timers & order of finish judges in the baby pool area
• 5:45pm: meeting for kid pushers (check for location when you arrive)
• 5:25pm: Team cheer with all swimmers.
• 5:55pm: Line up for relays!

Meet Against Silverton Sharks Information

Volunteer Needs: All scheduled volunteers will receive an email from Anne.

Volunteer Needs: Order of Finish Judge. Email Anne if you can serve

Check Posterboard Heat Sheets when you Arrive:

When you arrive at the meet, double check the physical posterboard heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app) and if you see an event you will be absent for, please let the coaches know asap so we have time to find a replacement (especially important for relays).

Parking at Home Meets:

We reserve our parking lot for the visiting team.

When you park along the street, please do not block any resident's driveways or fire hydrants. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.

Seating: Seating is available around the pool deck and outside of the fence (visiting team usually sets up to the left of the pool house, near the swing/grill area).

Swimmers, bring games and activities to do with your team mates under the SVKW white tents!

Parents: Make sure your swimmers are ready to go when they announce their event. It’s not the kid pushers job to come find your child for their event.

Concessions: SVKW Snack bar + Ty’s All Natural Food Truck from about 5:30pm - 8:00pm. 

Spirit Wear Table: available at this meet (get it quickly, this is our last home meet we'll be selling Spirit Wear at!) 

Tidal Wave Car Wash Vouchers on sale near the Spirit Wear Table.

We still have some Tidal Wave car wash vouchers and you can purchase at the Spirit Wear Table. Get them before they sell out!

Raffle Tickets for 7/25 on sale at this Meet

We'll be raffling off some great things at our end-of-year Awards Ceremony on July 25. The 1st place prize is an SV Pool Membership and the 2nd place prize is one free SVKW registration for next season. You do not have to be in attendance at the ceremony to win the 1st and 2nd place prize. Additional door prizes will be raffled off to those in attendance (Game On Escapes voucher, All-American swim items, and whatever else we end up having donated). 

Each family will receive one free ticket at the door of the ceremony. Additional tickets can be purchased ahead of time at our Spirit Wear Table at our 7/11 Home Meet. 

If you know of a business that would like to donate further items to our door prizes let us know! 

Papa Murphy's Spirit Night: 7/16, 12:00pm - 8:00pm
