2023 Cary City Meet Wrap Up!

Good morning, Killer Whales!!

** Your SV Killer Whales were represented well by 43 swimmers at this year’s Cary City Meet.

** Our combined team score was a very respectable 487.5 points, which earned our team 14th place overall.

** One of the most fun things about CCM is that swimmers who place 1st - 16th in individual and relay events win points for the team, so that many more kids get the chance to earn points for the team than at a regular Tuesday night meet.

When you check the results for your swimmers in the Swimtopia app, it will show you the points your kids earned for each event. Many swimmers got to contribute to our team score at this event. THANK YOU!!

**Killer Whales with Overall Scores in the Top 10 for their Age Group:

Congratulations to our swimmers who posted total scores in the top 10 for their age group at CCM. Well done to you all!!

Stella Sullivan      #1 High Points Winner for 6/under girls (44.5pts)

Amro Elhetami     9th overall for 6/under boys (16pts)

Seth Keen            9th overall for 7-8 boys (42.5pts)

Jarrett McKone     7th overall for 9-10 boys (50.5pts)

Izzie Kohler          2nd overall for 13-14 girls (57.5pts)

**THANK YOU to all of the parents who volunteered their time and energy to make it possible for our kids to participate in this meet. We are grateful for your dedication to our swim team!!

On an interesting side note, the organizer told me he saw a picture of the cumulative radar for Saturday. He said that the ONLY area where it did not rain (substantially) ALL DAY IN MANY OF THE AREA COUNTIES - was over the City Meet. CRAZY! The Weather Gods must be summer swim fans!!

We hope everyone had fun and that you are looking forward to doing it all over again next summer!!
