Happy Weekend Killer Whales!

Registrations are rolling in and we are 17 days away from our first evening practice. If you are new to the team this year and this is the first communication you’ve received, Welcome! We’re glad you decided to make the SVKW your summer home team. If you’re planning to return but haven’t registered yet, After May 8th we’ll be sending team emails to only those registered for the 2024 season so register this week!

We appreciate your patience as we worked through the glitches for those trying to register both your SVKW and Beluga Whale Children at the same time. If this has not been resolved or you were charged extra for some reason please reach out and we'll sort it out for you. You can also register your Beluga Whale directly here.

Reminder: New Families Q&A Event: May 4, 10am - 11am

Come join us for an informal event at the SV Pool Upper Deck to meet some of the swim board members, coaches, and ask them all your questions. This event is intended for new families who have just joined the Killer Whales or Beluga Whales, but anyone with questions is welcome to come by. It’s a great time to talk to meet those running the swim team, understand the various volunteer jobs, and tell us about any special skills you’d like to offer the team.

Welcome Back Party Save the Date: May 18 at 10am - 12pm

Mark your calendars and purchase your team swimsuit for our 2024 Welcome back party! This is a great time to catch up with past-season teammates and coaches and meet new ones. We’ll have a treat, activities, spirit wear for sale, and swimming! Keep an eye out for more details closer to the event.

Team Swim Suit Requirements and Purchase Details

Team Communications and SwimTopia Pro:

SwimTopia allows us to send out two kinds of communications to the team: alerts and emails. You’ll want to make sure you are getting both to stay on-top of team events, meet info, and weather alerts before practices and meets.

Team Emails: Team emails are sent to the email you used to register. Please make sure to use a current email and make sure team emails are not going to your spam. You can always check our news feed for the latest message if you can’t find the email (About --> News).

SwimTopia App: Take a moment to download the SwimTopia app and turn on the full notification options so you don’t miss weather alerts and cancellations, last-minute changes to meets, and other time-sensitive info sent out to the team.

A note on Swimtopia Pro (it’s optional): The app may ask if you want to upgrade to a Pro account for a fee. This is not required. The free version allows everything you need to interact with our team info, declare your swimmers, view all of our swim team alerts, or check swimmer time results after a meet. Some families subscribe for just June and July some don’t subscribe at all.
