Hello Killer Whales!
Don your team spirit and hone your skills at tonight's practice! This week we swim against our first team of the season, the Olive Chapel Otters at the SV Pool.
Below are all the details you need for our home meet. Parking and set-up look a bit different from the Red/White Meet with a second team on deck. Also, you will want to pre-order Romeo's pizza. It's a team favorite and they quickly sell out of the extras they bring. Pre-ordering is recommended (flier below).
Let's cheer our teammates on, be courteous and welcoming to the Otters, bring your best swims to your event, and have fun!
Let’s Go Killer Whales!

Reminder: Emergencies after the Swimmer Declaration deadline
The key thing to remember is please communicate your plans to us at all times so our heat sheets stay accurate and we have time to plan for relays.
- Pre-meet (before 4pm Tuesdays): if an emergency arises and a child will be missing all or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by emailing them at: [email protected].
- At the meet (and after 4pm Tuesday): please talk to Coach Lauren if something arises after during the Meet. If it's after 4pm and you cannot attend at all, please email the coaches AND text a friend to tell Coach Lauren when they arrive. Coaches may/may not get emails after 4pm Tuesdays once they are en route to the pool.
SVKW TSA Rep Role:
We will have a SVKW TSA rep at all meets. If any issues arise with the opposing team; swimmers, parents, or coaches, please find our SVKW rep and discuss it with them. They are the liaison between teams, do not approach the other team on your own.

6/11 Home Meet Information
Volunteer Needs:
Shifts are filled! All scheduled volunteers will receive an email from Anne.
Check Poster board Heat Sheets when you Arrive:
When you arrive at the meet, double check the physical posterboard heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app) and if you see an event you will be absent for, please let the coaches know asap so we have time to find a replacement (especially important for relays). Changes are often made last minute.
Big Whales:
Your assignments will be posted on the diving board next to the heat sheets. If you're on duty this week, meet up under the SVKW tents at 5:45 to check in and ask questions about your role!
We had a couple of new swimmers join our team this week (welcome!). BW Please check the attached file for your little whale match-up! You might have a new LW in your pod.
Parking at Home Meets:
Parking Lot: This is reserved for the visiting team. Please use street parking.
Street Parking: When you park along the street, please do not block any resident's driveways or fire hydrants. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.
Seating: Seating is available around the pool deck and outside of the fence (the visiting team usually sets up to the left of the pool house, near the swing/grill area). Bring chairs, most of the pool ones are removed when we have a second team on deck.
Parents: Make sure your swimmers are on deck and ready to go at first call for their events. It’s not the kid pushers' job to come find your child for their event.
Concessions:
Most of the food trucks are donating a portion of their sales back to the team!
- Romeo’s Pizza and Kona Ice Food Trucks (Romeos pre-ordering flier attached)
- Snack Bar has its usual array of snacks
- TSA Rules prohibit alcohol at all swim meets.
Tidal Wave Car Wash Vouchers on sale at this Meet
Tidal Wave Car Wash has once again offered vouchers to raise money for the team! Half the sales go back to the team. We'll be selling $30 vouchers for $10 at the spirit wear table. These make fantastic gifts to family and friends.
Thank You to Our Shark and Big Whale Sponsors!
