Hello Killer Whales!
It's looking like another great week for swimming! This week is another home meet and we’ll be swimming against the Sunset Ridge Barracudas. We're excited for another fun night of swimming, treats, and team bonding!
Reminders for this Meet: The tables to the left of the main steps and into the grill area (and the parking lot) are reserved for the visiting team to use. Second: No alcoholic beverages are allowed at Meets, per TSA Rules, and being found among our team could force us to forfeit the meet, last of all please make sure to pick up all your trash before you leave.
Swimmer's Grand Entrance: We're going to do a trial run of making a grand entrance for our swimmers to see if it's something that we like (read the directions below).
We have an assortment of food trucks to choose from this week as well as a Papa Murphy's Spirit Night! Truck Links and Romeo's Pre-ordering flier are below.
Let’s Go Killer Whales!

Reminder: Emergencies after the Swimmer Declaration deadline
This week, the Meet is locked Monday night (tonight) and no additional changes can be made. Please use the contacts below in case of emergencies such as sickness and injuries:
- Pre-meet (before 4pm Tuesdays): if an emergency arises and a child will be missing all or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by emailing them at: [email protected].
- At the meet (after 4pm Tuesday): please talk to Coach Lauren if something arises after 4pm on Tuesdays/during the Meet. If you cannot attend at all, please email the coaches AND text a friend to tell Coach Lauren when they arrive. Coaches may/may not get emails after 4pm Tuesdays once they are in route to the pool.
Swimmer's Grand Entrance:
We’re trying something new! We want to attempt a grand entrance for our Swimmers with cheering. If we love it, we'll do it again. at 5:45pm (or after warmups) , 13+ meet under the white tents (you're the cheering squad) and 12 and under: meet up outside the fence between the westside gate and baby pool for instructions. However, if you are swimming 7-8 relays, find your kid pusher first by 2nd call under the white tents. Depending on the timing, we'll give you further instructions there. We are also keen to make sure this does not delay the start of the Meet. When the announcer introduces the teams before the National Anthem, the swimmers will jog in towards the white tent area. Any questions or concerns please reply to this email.

6/18 Home Meet Information
Volunteer Needs:
Shifts are filled! Substitutes - some have already been moved into vacant shifts. All scheduled volunteers should have already received an email from Anne. Contact her if not at: [email protected].
Meet Set up crew, please note the start time is 4:10pm (you should be ready to begin immediately at 4:10pm). Sunset Ridge will be arriving at 4:15 to set up pop-ups, we need the space in front of the grills cleared promptly.
Check Posterboard Heat Sheets when you Arrive:
When you arrive at the meet, double-check the physical posterboard heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app). Changes are often made last minute if swimmers have an emergency. Big Whales: check your LW heat sheets to see if they are swimming this meet, and when.
Parking: The Lot is Reserved for the Visiting Team. When you park along the street, please do not block any resident's driveways or fire hydrants. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.
Seating: Seating is available around the pool deck and outside of the fence (visiting team usually sets up from the left of the main entrance into the swing/grill area).
Parents: Make sure your swimmers are on deck and ready to go at the first call for their events. It’s not the kid pushers' job to find your child for their event.
