7/13 Cary City Meet Information
Hello Killer Whales!
We are still gathering data from our meet to send out. Meanwhile, here’s a note from our Cary City Meet Coordinator, Kara Snoke. If you have any questions, please email her at: [email protected].
Hi Everyone!
We wanted to send a request to PLEASE block your calendars for Saturday, July 13th so that you can attend the Cary City Meet!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event, it is an extra large swim meet with many area pools in attendance. Ages 10 and under swim in the morning, and 11+ swim in the afternoon. Kids from all the local pools are placed into heats according to their personal best swim times, so every race is appropriately challenging and fun for each child. YOU select which events your child swims in, so it will only be races that they want to swim. (Note: There is a small fee per individual race.) And then the top 16 kids in each age group/stroke earn points for their pool and are awarded ribbons or medals!
This event also has decorated tents, optional dress-up according to your tent theme (you are NOT required to dress up!), food trucks, music, goodie bags, games, etc. It's kind of like an all-day carnival swim meet. :)
(And speaking of the tents - we need a decoration theme for our tent for this year. Recent years have been a jungle theme and "under the sea". If anyone has ideas, please email [email protected]!)
More details will be coming in the near future, but for now, PLEASE mark your calendars for July 13th and save the date for this event!! The more swimmers we have, the more fun the day is.
