Hello Killer Whales!

We are super proud of your final score from this past week and the number of Personal Bests we saw rolling in! Lochmere is a division up from us and while we may not have taken home the win, you made them sweat and work extra hard to stay ahead. The final score was Monsters 269 and Killer Whales 245. It was a great night of swim team spirit and enthusiasm. 

Up this week: Tomorrow we have a turns/starts refresher clinic, followed by Senior Night, our last Home Meet, the Ice Cream Social (RSVP), Papa Murphy's Pizza, and CCM.

Ice Cream Social

Come join us for a cold sweet ice cream treat after practice (13+ come before practice). Serving hours are from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. (RSVP on sign-up calendar is not required but helpful for planning!)

EOY Raffle Donations Needed + Tickets on Sale

Our traditional End of Year Raffle will be held during our Awards Night.  We're looking for donations to make it super fun! If you own a business (or know someone who does) we'd love to add to our collection. Raffle tickets will be on sale at our next home meet.

New Team Record: Congratulations go to Izzie Kohler for setting a new team record time of 25.87 in the 50-free.  The previous record of 25.97 was swam by Abby Clark in 2019.  See all team and pool records on the SVKW Page here.

We would like to shine our spotlight on the swimmers listed below who had the largest time drops in their age groups for each event. We will be awarding a free ice cream voucher from FRESH Local Ice Cream to the MOST IMPROVED swimmer, among all the strokes, in each of the six age groups every week (names highlighted in red). Picking up Award Ribbons after Meets

Check your family folders after a meet for your Personal Best (ages 12 and under) and Meet Placement (all ages) ribbons. You can ask for the file box from the concession attendant or lifeguard front desk anytime you’re at the pool. Ribbons are typically filed on Fridays at some point. Photographer for Hire:

Luke Eiles will be available to hire to take individual pictures of swimmers for specific heats/strokes at our last home Meet on 7/9. Please email him ([email protected]) for pricing and to reserve your spot(s). Act fast since he can only focus on one swimmer per heat at a time!
