Happy Weekend Killer Whales!

We're looking forward to being back at our home pool this week as we swim against the Dutchman Downs Dolphins.  We'll be celebrating our senior, Jason Ambruster, during this week's Meet. 

Make sure you've declared your swimmer by Sunday Noon so you don't miss our last Home Meet of the season! Pre-ordering Romeo's Pizza is highly recommended as well. 

We'll be trying our Grand Entrance again this meet.  Please read below for the instructions to note.

If an emergency arises due to sickness or injury, contact.

• Pre-meet (before 4pm Tuesdays): if an emergency arises and a child will be missing all or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by emailing them at: [email protected].
• At the meet (after 4pm Tuesday): please talk to Coach Lauren if something arises after 4pm on Tuesdays/during the Meet. If you cannot attend at all, please email the coaches AND text a friend to tell Coach Lauren when they arrive. Coaches may/may not get emails after 4pm Tuesdays once they are in route to the pool.

7/9 Home Meet Information

On Sale This Meet:  Spirit Wear and Raffle Tickets for our EOY Awards night Raffle will be on sale this meet. You do not have to be present at the Awards Night to win. 

Concessions: Pre-Order Romeo's Pizza for dinner (flier attached). Kona Ice will be back as well for this Meet. The SV Pool Snack Bar will have their normal assortment of snacks and drinks. TSA Rules prohibit alcoholic beverages at all swim meets.

Check Posterboard Heat Sheets when you Arrive:

When you arrive at the meet, double-check the physical posterboard heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app). Changes are often made last minute if swimmers have an emergency. Big Whales: check your LW heat sheets to see if they are swimming this meet, and when.

Parking: The Lot is Reserved for the Visiting Team. When you park along the street, please do not block any resident's driveways or fire hydrants. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.

Seating: Seating is available around the right side of the pool deck entrance and outside of the fence (the visiting team usually sets up from the left of the main entrance into the swing/grill area).

Parents: Make sure your swimmers are on deck and ready to go at the first call for their events. It’s not the kid pushers' job to find your child for their event.

Grand Entrance:  We're still working out the timing, but meet us at the back gate for another Grand Entrance after warm-ups!  Swimmers 12 and under will be running through the tunnel. Swimmers 13+ will be the tunnel as well as age group guides for the younger kids.  Make sure you keep moving as far as you can into the white tents (or the diving board area) to allow other swimmers to come through quickly.  FIND your age group sign outside the gate to line up.  7-8 Relay teams: Meet up with your kid pushers as soon as you exit the tunnel.  13+ can form the tunnel in and outside the gate (look for the orange floor cones to know where to stand-we're making it a bit wider this time) as well as join a younger age group to lead them through the tunnel The Meet Announcer will cue you when to make it through.  Thanks for humoring us!

Make sure you've paid your fees for the Cary City Meet individual events. The team has to turn in payment soon.
