Happy Monday, Killer Whales!

As you may know, our Volunteer Coordinator for the past 3 years (Anne Hensley) is stepping down from this role after the 2024 season.

Everyone agrees that Anne has done an outstanding job staying on top of all of our volunteer needs, but, as our team has continued to grow in size, it has become clear that coordinating all of the volunteers that it takes to make swim team possible, has become a job for more than one person.

We are very open to the idea of 3 or 4 people working together as a Volunteer Coordination Team.  It would be up to these people to figure out the details of how best to make everything work, but maybe 3 people could each be responsible for coordinating the volunteers at 1 home meet & 1 away meet, and the 4th person could be responsible for managing the emails and volunteer communication during the season?

Anne will also be very happy to work with the new people to help them get set up for a successful first season.

Many hands, make light work!!

If you have a group of swim team friends who you think would work well together to make a kick butt Volunteer Coordination Team, please reach out to your friends and start talking about this now - while the swim team experience is still fresh in everyone’s mind.

This truly is a great role for meeting new people, making a vital contribution to the smooth running of team events and swim meets, and establishing team wide connections between swim parents.

Even if you are not yet ready to make a definite commitment, please reach out to us to let us know you might be interested, to ask questions or to chat to Anne about her experiences.

We want to be 100% transparent about the fact that we WILL NOT be able to participate in the 2025 TSA Season without replacing Anne in this vital volunteer role.

There simply CANNOT be a swim team without all of the many volunteers working together to make all of the magic happen!!

Please give this opportunity some serious thought and reach out to your swim friends to see if you all can work together to help the swim team continue in 2025.
