Happy Friday, Killer Whales!

Can you believe our first meet is in NINE DAYS? The SVKW Swim Board met this past Wednesday to finalize the Meet details and upcoming events.  We have some new things to share with you!

First off, make sure you have read the update from the SVKW Board on our adjusted morning practice times that was sent out yesterday.

Additionally, tomorrow, 5/24, marks our first Saturday practice, which will follow the new morning practice schedule, and the New Family Orientation, starting at 9:15 am.

A note from Amanda, our Social Chair:

We’re excited to kick off the 2025 swim season with our Welcome Back Event—and you’re invited (Thursday, May 29, 5 pm - 8 pm)

What to Expect:

Minute-to-Win-It games + Cookie decorating + Pick up some team swag

This is a drop-in event, so swimmers are welcome to grab a teammate and stop by before or after their scheduled practice between 5:00 - 8:00 pm. It’s a great way to connect or reconnect, have some fun, and gear up for an awesome season ahead!

Please RSVP Attending or Not-Attending on the signup calendar as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.  We hope to see you there!

Home Meet Themes: 

Our Team Spirit coordinator is hard at work to help us come together and have fun at meets.  This season, each home meet will have a theme. Here's a sneak peek on our themes for this year so you can plan ahead:  

6/1 PJ Party -  6/17 Tie Dye  -  7/1 Red White & Blue

7/8 - Swimmers vote! (fill out our poll here)

Individual Swim Lessons

If you think your swimmer might benefit from individualized training that goes beyond what's typically possible in the group practices, our coaches are available to give private swim lessons for an additional fee. This is a great time to get focused attention on improving specific strokes, turns, and dives.  These are scheduled at the SV Pool, outside of regular swim practice times. Please contact your coaches directly if you are interested in hiring them for private lessons!
