Hi Killer Whales!

You fully channeled the Killer Whale power this week during our Red-White Meet and logged some fantastic times.  Great job! We are fast approaching our first dual meet on 6/10 so make sure you keep that power strong by coming to as many practices as you can. 

Coming up this week: we'll be pre-selling some super special t-shirts for our tie-dye event and hosting our 2nd New Family Q&A on Thursday night.  Please make sure you RSVP yes or no for the team events that ask for them so we can guarantee that we have enough supplies for everyone!

Upcoming Meet Declarations

All of our meets are open for declarations on the SignUp Calendar.  Please take a moment to declare your swimmers attending/not attending so you don't forget to do so last minute. We'll send reminders to check your info each week before the Sunday noon deadline. If you miss this deadline, there is a really high probability that the coaches and the meet admin team will not be able to adjust the heat sheets last minute.

Red / White Meet Recap

Swimmer Times:

Red / White times are available in Swimtopia, and you can view them through the App or online. Usually they are up on Wednesday, Thursday at the latest following a Meet. For those who are curious, view our current team and pool records.

In the SwimTopia App: 

1. Log in and tap on "SV Killer Whales" at the top of the list of events 
2. Click on “Past Events” (directly below the 'Upcoming' banner)
3. Tap on the Meet you want to view (“Red-White”)
4. Click on the drop-down arrow for “Events of Interest,” and you should see a list of your swimmers' events and times

Additionally, you can click on your child's name under "members" to see a long list of their past times for each event, sorted by their fastest times.

On a computer: Log in to the Swimtopia website > “My Account” > Click your child’s name > click on an event, i.e. freestyle. The latest meet times should be at the top of the list.

Team Swimsuit and Swim Cap reminders: Please make sure your swim caps only display the SVKW team logo, or are solid black.  Per our team policy, any other summer or year round swim team logo caps (or swimsuits colors) cannot be worn at meets. Swimsuits should be in team colors of red and black if they are not the current seasons design. 

Swimmers of the Week: Starting this week our coaches will be choosing one SOTW before each meet to receive a colored SVKW cap, generally based on this criteria.  We'll announce the winners in our post-meet emails.  

6/12 Tie Dye Team Event Details

It's time to Tie Dye! We hope you'll join us for this fun & messy team event on Thursday, June 12th. Stop by anytime between 5:00pm - 8:00pm.  Each SVKW kiddo is invited to tie dye a t-shirt to wear at our home meet against Walden Creek.  We'll provide the supplies, swimmers are responsible for purchasing a shirt. 

PLEASE RSVP Yes or No by 6/10/25 through the SignUp Calender. We want to have enough supplies for everyone and getting a head count through the RSVP’s is the only way to do that.

We are looking for two additional helpers for this event. Please email our volunteer team if you can sign up! 

Shirt Options: 

• Bring a white t-shirt from home (preferably prewashed) OR purchase a special SVKW white shirt ($10) that was made specifically for this event!  Prior to the big day, these will be sold first come-first serve during practice on Wed 6/4 and Sat 6/7 (from 8:15 am - 9:30 am). Anything that is left will be available for purchase at the event on 6/12.
• Last year the shirts being sold at the event went FAST! Please try to purchase an SVKW tie dye shirt at practice, or bring a back up white shirt to avoid disappointment.

6/5 New Parents Q&A 

Our 2nd New Parent Q&A will be this Thursday Night, from 5:15pm - 6:15pm at the SV Pool.  This is geared towards anyone who missed the first orientation as well as anyone who has additional questions. 

Saturday, 6/7 Practice Times

There are no clinics this Saturday, 6/7, or on 6/14. Practice times will follow our new morning schedule with start times of 8:30 am and 9:30 am. Any ages welcome at either practice. Our upcoming clinics will be on Sat 6/21 (WAVE),  Thu 6/26 (RSA), and Sat 6/28 (TAC). We'll announce those schedule when we receive them from the visiting coach.
