Hi Killer Whales!
We're anticipating another exciting evening at this week's home meet. We'll be swimming against the Waldon Creek Wahoos.
Ty's All Natural Food Truck and Romeo's Pizza will be on-site. They have been long-standing team favorites at home meets and calling in a pre-order to Romeo's is highly recommended (flyer attached).
We still need one 9-10 girl's kid-pusher for this meet. Please email our volunteer team if you can fill this role. As a reminder, kid-pushers are asked to stay through the final relay at the end of the meet. Please sign up only if you're able to stay the whole time.
Many thanks to the social team for running a super fun tie-dye event! Show off your t-shirt at this week's meet. Our theme is Tie-dye, Peace, and Love.
Let's Go Killer Whales!

Reminder: Emergencies after the Swimmer Declaration Deadline:
We've had almost 100% of the team declare before noon this week, That's a record high, thank you so much! Make sure you keep communicating if your plans change before Tuesday. We know life happens despite the best planning. If an emergency arises due to sickness or injury after the meet declaration deadline, here’s who to contact. Please communicate and don't be a no-show! Alot of work goes into running a timely and smooth meet and we appreciate timely communication.
- After the Sunday noon deadline but before 3 pm Tuesdays: if your swimmer will be missing all, or part of a meet please inform the coaches of the change as soon as possible by emailing them at: [email protected].
- After 3:00 pm Tuesday (or at the meet): If you cannot attend at all, please email the coaches AND text a friend to tell them when they arrive. Coaches may/may not get emails after 3 pm Tuesdays once they are en route to the pool, so as many people as know, the better. If you are at the pool already, please inform the coaches if you need to leave suddenly.

6/17 Meet Information:
TSA Liaison Role:
Each swim team has a TSA representative who acts as a liaison between the two swim teams (and SVKW coaches/parents) during a meet. If you have concerns or conflicts that arise during the meet, please refrain from discussing these issues directly with the opposing team's coaches, swimmers, and parents, as well as the SVKW Coaches. Our TSA Reps are there to help you resolve any issues that may arise.
Location: SV Pool (Home Meet)
Theme: Tie-Dye, Peace, and Love
Parking: The SV pool lot is reserved for the visiting team. Our team parks only on the street. When you park, please be considerate of the pool neighbors and do not block any resident's driveways, fire hydrants, or the greenway crosswalk. Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking.
Seating: SVKW Seating is available around the right side of the pool deck entrance and outside of the fence. The visiting team sets up on the left side swing/grill area. Please bring your own folding chairs since we clear the deck of the pool tables and chairs.
Concessions: Ty's All Natural Food Truck and Romeo's Pizza will be on-site. The SV Pool Snack Bar will have their normal assortment of snacks and drinks. It is highly recommended to pre-order Romeo's before 4:30 pm by calling the number on the flyer. They bring a limited amount of pepperoni and cheese pizza's but they sell out fast. TSA Rules prohibit alcoholic beverages at all swim meets. Our team will be disqualified if it's found on-site so please leave it at home.
On Sale This Meet: Spirit Wear and SV Caps will be on sale this meet. It is much easier to tell who's swimming which lane, if everyone is wearing an SV cap! Consider picking one up this meet.
Check Posterboard Heat Sheets when you Arrive:
When you arrive at the meet, double-check the physical posterboard heat sheets on the diving board (not just the app). Changes are often made last minute if swimmers have an emergency. Big Whales: check your LW heat sheets to see if they are swimming this meet, and when.
Parents: Make sure your swimmers are on deck and ready to go at the first call for their events. It’s not the kid pushers' job to find your child for their event.
Swim Cap Reminders:
Please make sure swimmers only wear SVKW team swimsuits and caps during meets. Suits that match the team colors (red and black) and black swim caps can also be worn (but SV Caps are preferred). We do not allow swimsuits or caps with other swim team colors or logs.
Relay Reminder: Don't be a no-show:
If you signed up for Relays, please show up! Or let the coaches know ahead of time if you need to arrive late/suddenly leave early. Our Parents' code of conduct regarding Relay no-shows is here.
Pasta Pump Up:
Stop by for a bowl of pasta and some bingo after practice tomorrow, 6/16, from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. We'll have butter and red-sauce options.
