Dear Killer & Beluga Whale parents,

As you have probably noticed, the 2025 swim team is the largest group of kids we have had in many years. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work through some growing pains.

Please note the following update to our evening practice schedule, which will go into effect starting Wednesday, June 25.

This change will apply to regular practices on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings:

• Beluga Whales (1): New time is 4:30–5:00 PM (previously 5:00–5:30 PM)

We have large groups of Beluga (26) & 6/under (42) swimmers this year, and it is proving impossible to run Beluga & 6/under practices safely or effectively at the same time.

We understand that this schedule change may be inconvenient and might disrupt existing routines. We sincerely apologize for any challenges this may create for your family.

Due to the high number of swimmers in the 6/under group, we have found it increasingly difficult to maintain the safe coach-to-swimmer ratios required for effective practices when Belugas and 6/under practices overlap. In the interest of swimmer safety, this adjustment to the practice schedule is necessary and unavoidable.

We will assess the effectiveness of this schedule change over the next couple of weeks, and may make more adjustments if they appear to be needed.
