Summer Swim is right around the corner! The SVKW registration opens in two weeks on April 27. You'll need to select your family volunteer credits before completing your swimmer's registration. We have a few more full-season jobs open as well that fulfill all your credits (info below). Take a moment to read through the job descriptions, and if you have any questions, ask them prior to 4/27.  Also, please read the flier attached for customized swim cap information (deadline to order is May 11).

We have three full-season jobs open that fulfill all your volunteer credits for the season. Please consider signing up!

End of Year Awards Celebration Coordinator -Coordinate all aspects of the end of the season Awards Night. The event will be held on July 18th for medals and a ceremony at an indoor location. There is a checklist to follow, but the main responsibilities include organizing decorations, setting up the slide show (put together by the photographer), and setting up the space. The date/time has been confirmed with the venue already. You will have volunteers arrive one hour before the ceremony to help set up tables, awards, and decorations. Please confirm your availability for the event date and also the weeks prior for planning.

Senior Awards - Looking for one person to coordinate all activities around honoring our seniors. This includes coordinating the photos, ordering and wrapping gifts, and working with the parents to obtain photos for a slideshow.

Raffle Coordinator - Work with local businesses to get raffle items for the Awards program. Coordinate the sale of raffle tickets at each home meet at our merchandise table. Organize and pass out raffle prizes at the End of Season Awards Event.

Registration Info and Reminders! Follow this checklist prior to registration opening to make sure you're ready. 

1. Read through our swimmer and parent code of conduct rules and practice policies.
2. SV Pool Dues: Don’t forget to join the SV pool and pay the membership dues prior to April 27. Per TSA Rules, we cannot allow a child to attend practices or participate in meets until pool dues are paid (SV Pool Membership Info)
3. SVKW Team Dues: Our 2026 team dues are $125 per swimmer this year. This covers the cost of running the team as well as all social events.
4. Team Newsletter: Starting May 1st, we’ll be emailing these team updates to only those that have registered. You can always find copies of these emails under About-News on the SVKW Swimtopia website.
5. Family Volunteer Credits: Grab your calendar before April 28 and think through what jobs you can sign up for to fulfill your volunteer credits. Our team is 100% volunteer run and each family must fulfill their volunteer credits to continue to participate. You can look up deck volunteer jobs and shifts here. Email the Volunteer Coordinator, prior to April 27, if you have questions about a specific role.
6. Beluga Whales: We’re excited to offer our Beluga starter swim team program once again for our youngest swimmers ages 4-6. Rosemary Helmedag will be coaching again this summer. Contact Julie, the program coordinator, before registration opens to discuss your swimmer's qualification if you are unsure of which team to join (requirements+schedule+FAQ).
7. Download the SwimTopia App and enable notifications and alerts! We use this program to send out all last-minute weather and practice schedule changes. The Pro account has additional perks but is not necessary if you prefer the free version.

• Sat 5/9: Prospective Swim Team Family Q&A at the SV Pool. Have questions about the registration process or the team you want to ask before joining? Come ask us in person! New Families are welcome if you also have registration and general swim team questions. We will have additional info nights for new families that cover swim meets and other info helpful to team participation (Dates TBD).
