Hello Killer Whales!
We're looking forward to warmer days ahead! If you're new this year, we're glad to have you! Please join us for the New SwimTeam Family Orientation this Saturday from 9:15am - 10:15am.
As a reminder, practices this weekend will be on Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning. Regular evening practices begin Tuesday, 5/26. Please note the new age-group practice times below.
Feeling adventuresome? Sign up to sing our National Anthem for a meet! We still need singers for our home meets on 6/9, 6/30, and 7/7. This can be a small group or an individual. All skills welcomed! Email [email protected] to sign up!
Finally, as we approach our Red-White Meet, please make sure you have declared your swimmer (instructions below) and accounted for all 5 of your family's volunteer credits. If you need help with signing up for credits, reach out to our volunteer team coordinators.
See you on deck!

How to Declare Your Swimmer (All meets are open):
As we approach our Red-White Meet, please take a moment to declare your swimmer. Declaring your swimmer means letting us know if you will or will not attend each meet and which relays you'll be swimming. All the Meets are open for declaration so you can do it weekly, or all at once. We'll send out reminders to double-check that your declaration is accurate before each Meet. (click here for detailed step-by-step instructions)
In general, make sure you complete both steps below to declare EACH registered swimmer:
- Find the Meet on the Sign Up Calendar and click “Meet Entry”
- Declare attending or not attending for EACH swimmer registered.
- Declare if your swimmers are or are not available to swim Relays (the default is available, so make sure you change this if needed).
Please note: If you do not declare your swimmer as “available”, they will not be entered into any individual events. If you miss the Sunday Noon deadline, there is no guarantee that your swimmer will be able to swim that particular meet. The Meet Admin team will determine if a late add is possible. A lot of work goes into merging teams and it isn't always possible to make changes past the deadline.
Additionally, Don’t be a No-Show: If you declare your swimmer attending, please show up. When you arrive, please double-check the Heat sheets to see if you're signed up for relays (on purpose or by accident) and make sure to show up for them if you are. The other relay teammates cannot swim if one person is a no-show, and in addition to being unfair to teammates, it makes for some super sad swimmers. If emergencies occur after the deadline has passed (we understand life happens!), please email the coaches asap so they can adjust the heat sheets.
Private Swim Lessons
If you are looking for additional help for your swimmers, our coaches are available to give private swim lessons at the pool for an additional charge. This is a great opportunity to get focused attention on improving specific strokes, dives, and turns. Please get in touch with them directly (outside of scheduled swim practice times) if your swimmer needs that little bit of extra attention. These swim lessons are arranged as a private matter between you and the coach, outside of the swim team's normal operations. You can email them directly to ask questions or set up lesson times
