We hope you enjoyed the first meet of the season! The swimmer times look strong and we're excited for our first dual meet. If the Red-White Meet raised any unanswered questions, please reach out. 

Thank you to Greyden Snoke for the amazing National Anthem. We have open spots for our all upcoming home meets so gather a couple friends to sign-up with you and give it a go!

Coming up this week we have the WAVE-Butterfly Clinics on Saturday (age 7+, group times below) and our Pasta Pump-Up w/ Paper Planes (RSVP) on Monday night. We hope to see you there!

6/9 Meet Declarations + Open Volunteer Jobs

Are you declared for Tuesday's 6/9 Meet? All of our meets are open for declarations on the SignUp Calendar. Please take a moment to declare your swimmers attending/not attending so you don't forget to do so last minute. We'll send reminders to check your info before the Sunday noon deadline. If you miss this deadline, there is a high probability that the coaches and meet admin team will not be able to adjust the heat sheets at the last minute.

We are also in need of Subs for this event. If you're able to serve, select the 6/9 meet and click through the "Job SignUp" button to volunteer.

Our Volunteer of the Week goes to Ashely Mahoney. She had the 7/8 boys organized and ready to go in record time.

Swimmer Times:

Your swimmers' Red / White times are available in the Swimtopia App or on the website. Usually these times are posted by Thursday evening at the latest. For those who are curious, you can view our current team and pool records here.

Finding times in the SwimTopia App:

1. Log in and Tap on "SV Killer Whales" at the top of the list of events
2. Click on “Past Events” (directly below the 'Upcoming' banner)
3. Tap on the Meet you want to view (“Red-White”)
4. Click on the drop down arrow for “Events of Interest” and you should see a list of your swimmers' events and times

Finding Times on the Website: Log in to the SwimTopia website > “My Account” > Click your child’s name > then click on an event, i.e. freestyle. The latest meet times should be at the top of the list.

Swimmer of the Week:

Starting this week our coaches will be choosing SOTW before each meet, awarded right before the team cheer. One male and one female will be chosen based on this criteria and they will receive a special SVKW cap.

Personal Best Ribbons:

Going forward, post-meet emails will highlight one male and one female with the highest personal time drops per stroke/age group. The top time drop per age group also earns an ice cream voucher from FRESH local ice cream. Ribbons and prizes will be in your family folder by the Saturday after each meet (ask for the folder box at concessions whenever the pool is open).

6/6 WAVE Butterfly Clinic

This Saturday, come hone your Butterfly stroke at Saturday's clinic sponsored by WAVE. You don't want to miss this clinic, especially if you're swimming Fly for the first time this summer. 11+ Clinic is 8:30 am - 9:30 am, age 7-10 Clinic is 9:30 am - 10:30 am.  There is no 6U practice on this day.

6/8 Pasta Pump-Up:

Monday night, Hang out before or after your swim practice for some pasta and airplanes with teammates! RSVP's are not required but really helpful to make sure we have enough for everyone. Email Amanda with any food allergies asap. 

Withdrawing Your Swimmer

Registration fees are refundable through Saturday, June 6. Please email us at [email protected] if you need to withdraw your swimmer. Because the team has to absorb a number of fixed costs regardless of enrollment, no refunds will be honored after this date.
