The SV HOA recently received feedback from a Shepherd's Vineyard homeowner regarding safety concerns around the pool area when vehicles are not parked in accordance with Town of Apex parking regulations.

The concern was focused primarily on Carriage Ridge Way, the road that runs alongside the pool and playground. Based on the attached Apex Police Department parking guidelines, this roadway is likely too narrow to safely accommodate parking on both sides of the street.

As good neighbors, we all share a responsibility to help keep the area safe for residents, pedestrians, children, and emergency vehicles. We would like to remind everyone to follow the Town of Apex parking regulations, including:

• Parking is permitted only on the greenway side of Carriage Ridge Way.
• No parking within 15 feet of the greenway crosswalk.
• No parking within 30 feet of intersections or stop signs.
• No parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.

To help reinforce these requirements, the swim team will be placing temporary "No Parking" signs in key areas during home meets.

Please be aware that the Apex Police Department may issue citations and/or tow vehicles that are parked in violation of these restrictions.
