    Away Meet Instructions

    AWAY MEET INSTRUCTIONS for EVERYONE

    Please check in at the volunteer table as soon as you arrive. We need to know everyone is accounted for before the meet starts.

    • Volunteer table- will set up in the Away team area. 
    • Volunteer Coordinators (Leslie and Becky) - we will be there at 5pm.
    • Please check-in by 5:25 pm
      • NOTE- swimmer warm up is 5:25pm
    • You will receive a name tag, supplies, and pool specific instructions
    • ALL meetings begin at 5:45pm
      • Kid Pushers with Richard. We will let you know where he sets up when you arrive. 
      • Timers, S&T, OOF at 5:45pm with other team officials 
    • If you know you won’t arrive by 5:25pm please email so we don’t mark you absent.

    First Shift - after you attend your meeting, be in place by the national anthem 5:55pm. The meet will start immediately following the anthem.

    Second Shift - report after 15-18 women’s backstroke. The announcer will give reminders during this time. Go to your position and switch out the first half volunteer.

    Find your meet specific job for additional information below

    Substitute

    • Confirm your job assignment in “my account”, you may have already been assigned a position.
    • Check-in with volunteer table when you arrive AND back at the table at 5:40pm for last minute assignments.

    Kid Pusher

    • Receive Kid Pusher sheets and paddles at the volunteer check-in table.
    • Attend the 5:45pm Kid Pusher Meeting with Richard
    • He will give you instructions and you’ll find the other KPs for your age group
    • 7-8 KPs will go immediately from the meeting to line swimmers up for relays
    • KP shifts are the full meet! 
    • At the end of the meet, bring the paddles back to our volunteer table and place in the bag. 

    Order of Finish Judge AND Stroke and Turn

    • Attend meeting with officials at 5:45pm to meet the opposing team officials, runner, and TSA reps

    Meet Administrator Lead & Helper

    • Report to the meet administrator table behind the starters
    • Have your computer and charging cord with you
    • Be ready to take swimmer changes starting 5:30pm

    Timer

    • Lane assignments will be available at the volunteer check-in table
      • Second half please report to the blocks during women's backstroke so you can switch timers BEFORE the timers move to 6&U location.
    • It is important to attend the meeting as ALL timers from both teams will receive the same instructions.
